Fitzgerald, Cairllon Moore, age 73, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died peacefully May 10, 2017, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Fitzgerald was retired from Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was an avid gardener, dog lover, and “everybody’s Mama”. Mrs. Fitzgerald was the daughter of the late, George Jackson and Estelle Selph Moore. She was also preceded in death by her son, Craig Fitzgerald.
She is survived by:

Winter, Margaret Lucille, age 81, of Hermitage, TN, died May 10, 2017. Mrs. Winter was the daughter of the late, Millard and Louise Perry Arterburn. She was also preceded in death by husband, Lionel Jack Winter; daughter, Debra Kay Gordon and grandchildren, Christopher Michael Lancaster and Lori Ann Parrish.

Rice, Frank Earl, age 75, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died May 12, 2017. Frank was a truck driver and enjoyed fishing and boating. He was the son of the late, Earl Ernest and Marie Rogers Rice.

Danner, Col. Charles Worley, age 89, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died May 19, 2017.
Mr. Danner, after a 32 year distinguished career, retired as Colonel of the Tennessee Highway Patrol. After retirement, he taught DUI School for 19 year. He served on the Board of Directors of the TLEOA and was a member of the Road Law group. Mr. Danner was a former Commissioner for West Wilson Utility District and had also served on the Board of Directors of the Wilson County Sports Authority. He was a member of Mt. Juliet Lodge, #642 F&AM and was a Shriner and a Squire at Jack Daniels Distillery. Mr. Danner ran a successful “city farm”, cutting hay every summer, and was a cattle farmer. Mr. Danner attended Mt. Juliet Church of Christ. He was the son of the late, Charles Lee and Ida Anderson Buckles Danner and was also preceded in death by 12 siblings.

Cox, William Harold “Bill”, age 88, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died May 21, 2017. Mr. Cox was a longtime member of Mt. Juliet Church of Christ and was a member of the Prime Timers Sunday School Class. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving duty at Clark Air Force Base, the Philippines and as a support liaison during the Korean Conflict. His most significant duty was serving the Hq 316th Troop Carrier Group in Smyrna, TN. For his service, he received the Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Bronze Clasp with 2/Loops to GCM. Over the years, Mr. Cox donated 11 gallons of blood to the American Red Cross to pass on the gift of life so that blood would be on hand when needed. Mr. Cox was the son of the late Alma Dee Hamilton Cox. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Royce Mires Cox; siblings, Peggy Cox Colbert, Jim Cox and Bobby Cox and grandchildren, Russell Morrow, Jr. and Candice Morrow.
He is survived by:

Greenwood, Gene Leonard, age 88, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died May 23, 2017. Mr. Greenwood was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet for 44 years where he had served as a deacon and had taught young men in Sunday School Class. He was also a member of John B. Garrett Lodge #711 F&AM. Mr. Greenwood was retired from Western Electric. He was the son of the late, Leonard Daniel and Bessemer Conaway Greenwood. Mr. Greenwood was also preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Greenwood Bobo and siblings, Jack Greenwood, Maxine Abbott and Wanalou Boggs.

John E. Owen
John passed away on May 12, 2017. He was a native of Lebanon, Kentucky and a Lifetime Alumni of the University of Kentucky.
Preceding him in death were his son, Kevin A. Owen; parents, Elias and Mary Fadel Owen; and brothers Andrew, Phillip, George, and Raphael Owen.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Thomas Owen, his son John E. “Jay” (Mary) Owen, Jr., Austin, Texas; his daughters Darlene (Andrew) Short, Newburgh, Indiana; and Donna Owen Bailey, Lebanon, Tennessee. Also surviving are his grandchildren Gregory (Megan) Owen, Russell Owen, Joshua Owen, Evan (Yahira) Short, Allison (Micah) Silletto, Kayla (Blake) Bassett, Lauren (Carter) Higdon, Thomas Bailey, and Andrea Bailey and great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Caroline Owen and Owen and Ada Silletto. He is also survived by a large extended family including brothers, a sister, nephews, nieces and their families.
A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. EDT Friday, June 9, 2017 at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky. A memorial service celebrating his life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. CDT Saturday, June 10, 2017 at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Nashville, Tennessee with Rev. Michael Blaess officiating.
The family especially wishes to thank the remarkable care and compassionate attention by nurses, caregivers and staff given to John at Alive Hospice. We also extend our thanks to Dr.Robert Ripley, Dr. Robert Bishop, Dr. Jeff Whitfield, Dr. Keith Loven, Dr. Martin Wagner and Dr. Timothy Lee for their excellent care.
