Eisaman, Dorothy Cuda, 91 years old, born September 11, 1925 and as of October 3, 2016, has gotten her groove back and is up in Heaven laughing, hugging, and partying and is so grateful to be free from pain and misery. Wow, what a life she lived while on this Earth!! She was a fabulous person, caring friend and always an enthusiastic participant in life. Dorothy was a devout Catholic, a lover of outdoor activities, especially golfing and swimming, a traveler, a superb seamstress, a gracious hostess and a gourmet cook. She had a gift of encouraging others and loved a good party. Dorothy was the happiest when holding her husband’s hand, surrounded by family and friends, sitting around an outdoor fire, stories being told and lots of laughter. A lifelong resident of Bethel Park, PA, Dorothy was also a seasonal resident of Deep Creek Lake, MD. She was a former member of St. Valentines Catholic Church in Bethel Park. Dorothy graduated from Mount Mercy and Carnegie Tech, now known as Carnegie Mellon. Dorothy is the daughter of the late, Carl and Frances Andrews Cuda. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald “Pete” Eisaman.

 

She is survived by son, Glenn (Jackie) Eisaman; daughters, Nancy (Jerry) Geisler and Carol (Rich) Wolverton; brother, Richard S. Cuda; grandchildren, Lindsey, Curtis, Julia, Amanda, Steve and Amie and 4 great-grandchildren.

 

The family is most grateful for the loving kindness of caregivers, Rich Wolverton, Amie Wolverton, Darryl Marlowe, Lacey Tenpenney, Dorothy Tucker and family, Dena Swoner, Kathryn

 Owens and many others who accompanied her compassionately to the end of her life. We are deeply grateful to Dr. Christi Witherspoon and to Alive Hospice, whose services were invaluable.

Thomas, Clyde Wilburn Jr., age 90, of Old Hickory, TN, died October 3, 2016.  Clyde was a devoted Husband, Father, Paw Paw, Brother, and Uncle. Clyde was a member of Hickory Hills Baptist Church.  In the last year, he has also attended Locust Fork Baptist Church in Alabama.  Clyde loved to attend church and truly enjoyed his church family; he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was the son of the late, Clyde Wilburn Thomas, Sr. & Grace Ford Thomas.  He is also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Thomas; sisters, Kathleen Gregory and Nancy Garland.

He is survived by, son, Jesse “Jack” (Seglenda) Thomas; grandchildren, Cameron Thomas, Caleb Thomas; and a number of nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews, which he considered his children.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2016 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bro. Dan Milliken officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. Ownby, Knox Allen, age 94, of Mt. Juliet, TN, went to be with the Lord today, October 8, 2016 after an extended stay at Alive Hospice in Nashville.  He was a resident of Rutland Place in Mt. Juliet, TN for six years. Knox previously lived in Lewisburg, and was the former owner of Marshall Auto Supply.  He served his country as a member of the U. S. Army and was also a member of the Old Guard Association of Washington DC.  He served as Post Commander of American Legion Post and long-time member of Masonic Lodge Dillahany #112 in Lewisburg.  He was also a member of the Scottish Rite and Al Menah Shrine in Nashville. He is preceded in death by his wives – Josephine Smith Ownby and Frances Woodard Ownby.

He is survived by:

Son & Daughter-in-Law - Barry Anthony Ownby & Nancy Thole Ownby of Knoxville, TN

Daughter & Son-in-Law - Cindy Ownby Stevens & Lonnie Stevens of Nashville

Grandchildren - Kellie Davidson of Soldtna,  Alaska, Eric Ownby of Scottsdale, Arizona, Meagan Carroll, Kelsey Powell and Spencer Stevens, all of Nashville

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, October 10, 2016 at Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg, TN.

Masters, Richard Wayne, age 69, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died October 13, 2016.

Wayne was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Franklin and was a salesman in the printing industry for many years. He was the son of the late, Calvin Grant and Westy Virginia Cupp Masters. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Kolt Gammon.

He is survived by:

Graves, David Maurice age 65, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died October 18, 2016. David was a member of the American Legion Post #351 in Ft. Myers, Florida.  He is preceded in death by his father, Maurice Graves.

Holland, Debra Sue Thompson, age 62, of Lebanon, TN, died October 19, 2016. Debbie was a Registered Nurse for over 30 years with a specialty in Surgical Intensive Care. She had a passion for animals and she loved holidays. But most of all she loved her family.

Sharpe, Carol Ann Hanson, age 71, of Hermitage, TN, died October 19, 2016. Mrs. Sharpe was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She had a passion for reading. Mrs. Sharpe was the daughter of the late, John Ralph and Bonnie Pearl Patee Hanson.

She is survived by:

Duffel, Ardith Geraldine “Gerry”, of Hermitage, TN, went to meet her Lord on October 21, 2016 at age 89 after enduring a long battle with Alzheimer’s. The love of Gerry’s life was taking care of her family and the spiritual and educational growth of children with her involvement as PTA President, Cub Scout Den Mother and Sunday School Teacher for decades. She was the daughter of the late, Carrol and Pearl Fitts. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ewing Duffel; son, Rod Duffel and sister, Aurelia “Dorris” Radar.

 

She is survived by her son, Gary Duffel and his wife, Sharon, who he is eternally grateful for the countless hours she spent trying to improve the quality of his mom’s life. Gerry is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Buddy Neal officiating. The burial will be private.

Jennings, Kenneth Wright, age 52, of Lebanon, TN, died October 25, 2016.

Ken was a member of Laguardo Baptist Church. He was a 1982 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School and Nashville Auto Diesel College. Ken was an employee of Thompson Machinery for 32 years but his passion was farming. Ken was the son of the late, Claude Bennett and Sarah Miller Wright Jennings.

Brown-Inman, Adam Michael, age 50, of Nashville, TN, died October 27, 2016. Adam was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Davis, Doris Jean Fathera, age 90, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died October 28, 2016. Mrs. Davis was a member of Green Hill Church of Christ. She was known as a good cook and was an avid Mt. Juliet Girls Basketball supporter for over 60 years. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Harvey Freeman Chapter #181 where she was a Past Matron. She was the daughter of the late, Joe and Minnie Belle Allen Fathera. Mrs. Davis was also preceded in death by her husband, Teddy Rex Davis; son, Gary Davis and sisters, Ruth Powell, Lorene Bullock and Jewell West.

Maynor, Shirley L. Gordon, age 79, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died October 30, 2016. Shirley was a member of Victory Baptist Church and a prior member of First Baptist Church. Shirley retired after 31 years as a teacher in the Wilson County School System. She is the daughter of the late William Floyd and Emma Sue Gordon.  She is also preceded in death by her sister, Martha Sue Fleming; brothers, William Keith Gordon, Meredith Gordon and Basil Gordon.
