Crabtree, Cynthia Gower, age 68, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died March 3, 2016. Mrs. Crabtree was a member of Green Hill Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Hendersonville High School and was employed as a bookkeeper at Basic Communications.

 

She is survived by:

Husband of 40 years – Robert J. Crabtree

Son – David Michael Stegall

Brother – Sydney Winnek

Step-sister – Gail Kincaid

Several nieces and nephews

 

Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Green Hill Church of Christ, 11706 Lebanon Road, Mt. Juliet, TN with Bro. August Ruff officiating.

 

Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Elder and Deacons of Green Hill Church of Christ.

Cannon, Joshua Steven, age 27, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died March 5, 2016. Josh was a 2006 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School and was an employee of Boswell’s Harley Davidson. He was interested in becoming a motivational speaker.

Flair, Eleanor Rest, age 89, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died March 8, 2016. Mrs. Flair was a member of Yeocomico Episcopal Church. She was the daughter of the late, William F. and Hazel Sydnor Rest. Mrs. Flair was also preceded in death by her Husband, John H. Flair, Sr.; brothers, Alfred Rest and James Rest and grandson, Gregory Flair.

Dr. Mohammad Taleghani passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 2, 2016 with his family by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife, Soudabeh, and four children, daughters Lisa Mary Bonaiuto and her husband Steven Bonaiuto, Marilyn Shirin Taleghani and his sons, Dr. Christopher Kelly Taleghani and his twin daughters Raquel Faulkner and late Sabrina Faulkner, and Richard Abbas Taleghani and his wife Jeanne and step son Ray. He is also survived by his sisters Azam and her husband Ahmed Razaghi, Fahti Nariman and her husband Ali, and brothers, Dr. Mehdi Adham and his wife Behnaz and Dr. Abdul Adham and his wife Sahi. Dr. Taleghani was the patriarch of a large family, including many cousins, nieces and nephews. Dr. Taleghani was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Marilyn Taleghani and his sisters Mali Tehran, Nahead Adham and Masum Adham and brother Abdol Adham.

 

 Born in Tehran, Iran on December 21, 1931, the oldest of nine children. Dr. Taleghani graduated from Tehran University Medical School and had a 50 year distinguished career in pulmonary medicine, retiring in 2012. Dr. Taleghani began his medical career in the United States as an intern at the Chelsea Soldiers Home, where he met his first wife, Marilyn Kelly, who was working as a nurse. Dr. Taleghani and Marilyn Kelly were married in 1961. Over the course of their marriage, they lived in Washington DC and Maryland and traveled extensively. After his retirement, Dr. Taleghani moved Bowling Green Kentucky, where he met and married Sudebah Minou.

 

Dr. Taleghani’s life was dedicated to caring for his beloved family and patients.  He was a dynamic man of great courage and intelligence and his warmth, inspiration and laughter will be missed by all who knew him.

Bryson, Jerald David age 72, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died February 28, 2016. Jerald was a member of Hickory Hills Baptist Church; a member of Joppa Lodge #411 F & AM of Gladeville, TN; and has been a Wildlife Technician with the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency for many years. He was the son of the late, Kelly and Helen Bryson.  He is also preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Bryson.

Fletcher, Shirley Joanne age 68, of Old Hickory, TN, died March 13, 2016. Shirley was a member of Faith, Hope & Love Church. She was the daughter of the late, Cleo Ronald “C.R.” and Maxine Fletcher. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ryan Lee McClure; brothers, Ronald and Russell Fletcher.

Herd, Darline, age 64, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died March 17, 2016. Darline was a member of the Church of God. She was the daughter of the late, Arthur and Elizabeth Tatum. She was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Donna Tatum.

Rouse, Jerry Dale, age 71, of Lebanon, TN, died March 21, 2016. Jerry was a man of many talents, who could build just about anything. He built three houses, a paddlewheel boat and a loving family, just to name a few. He worked many years as a welder for Benny Wilson Ornamental Iron. Jerry was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam, and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was also a member of Gateway Missionary Baptist Church. Jerry was the son of the late, Paul Francis and Norvella Crowe Rouse.

York, Howard Franklin, age 84, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2016, not far from his lifelong residence in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. Mr. York served in the U.S. Army and the Tennessee National Guard and was retired from Ford Glass Plant. He was the son of the late, Frank Wesley Young and Lorena Gambrill York Young. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Maxie Hamblen Lain York and his sister, Mamie Elizabeth Worrell.

 

He is survived by many friends who kept him company and took care of him in the later years of his life including the staff at The Gardens at Providence Place, his fishing companions and his caregivers.

 

Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016 at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be The Honorable Judge John T. Gwin, Michael Kurtz, Ensley Hagan, Steve Brown, Nestor Garcia and Rob Spruill.

Lewis, Shaun Dwayne, age 37, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died March 26, 2016.

Shaun was a member of Global Vision Bible Church. He was a 1996 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School and was a member of the Southern Breed Motorcycle and the Christian Motorcycle Association. Shaun was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bob G. Lewis and Harold R. Waffird, Sr.

Harrell, Joyce Marie Guye, age 62, of Old Hickory, TN, died March 25, 2016. Joyce was a member of Tulip Grove Baptist Church. She was retired from Sears and also retired from the Tennessee Highway Patrol after 30+ years of service. Joyce was the Daughter of the late, Charles and Sarah Wynne Guye. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Tommy” Jackson Harrell, Jr.: Siblings, Freddie Guye, Linda Pique and Dorothy Bratcher and nephew, Steve Marcum.

 

She is survived by:

Dr. Michael James Asher, age 62, of Piscataway, New Jersey, died March 24, 2016 in Nashville, TN. Dr. Asher was the son of the late Carl and Patricia Asher.  He is also preceded in death by his brother, Jonathan Asher.

 

He is survived by:

Wife – Susan Paradise

Children – Peter Paradise-Asher and Adam Paradise-Asher

Sister – Sara Asher and her husband Richard Rae

Niece – Erin (Jon) Acuff

Great Nieces – Elliotte and Anna Belle Acuff

 

Michael was a loving husband, father, brother and friend.  He was passionate about his work.  Dr. Asher was a Clinical Psychologist at Behavior Therapy Associates since 1988.  Board Certified in Cognitive and Behavioral Psychology, American Board of Professional Psychology.

 

His professional memberships include, New Jersey Psychological Association, Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy, Association of Contextual and Behavioral Science.

 

Faculty appointment in Department of Psychiatry, Rutgers Medical School, awarded teacher of the year 2016 for his contribution teaching Child Psychiatry Fellows.

 

Dr. Asher also co-authored four books on Attention Deficit Disorder, Problem Behavior and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.  He had a significant impact on helping others improve the quality of their lives, always with fun!

 

Memorial tribute will be hosted on Saturday, April 9th, from 5-8 PM at the Methodist Church, 485 Hoes Lane, Piscataway, New Jersey 08854.


A tribute to Michael will also be held Saturday, April 16th from 2-5 PM at The Workmen’s Hall, 99.5 Wilson Street, Norwood, MA 02062.

Haworth, Aubrey Ray age 72, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died March 29, 2016. Aubrey was the son of the late Walter James and Viola Haworth.  He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Walter Eugene Haworth and Robert John Haworth; sister, Linda Fay Haworth; stepson, Keith Alton Hasty.  He was the owner and operator of Haworth Plumbing; a member of Community Church of Hendersonville,; the Lions Club and Helping Hands Motorcycle Club.
