Jordan, Emilie L., age 78, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died November 10, 2015. Mrs. Jordan was a member of Gladeville Baptist Church. For over 25 years, she was known as Peaches the Clown in the Central Florida area. She was a member of the World Clown Association and Clowns of American International. For 13 years, Mrs. Jordan was a volunteer at Florida Hospital in Orlando where she delighted patients with her zany clown antics and style performing face painting, balloon art and sharing the Gospel of Christ through illusion. Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her father, James L. Freeman; mother, Vivian Jones Smith; step-father, David M. Smith and brother, Claude R. Freeman.

 

She is survived by:

Husband of 58 years – Curtis Franklin Jordan, Sr.

Son – Curtis (Pam) Jordan

Daughter – Debra (Jim) Hartman

Brothers – James L. Freeman and David M. (Linda) Smith

Sisters – Shirley (Nick) Locicero, Janice Kay Casario and Martha Rae Suggs

Grandchildren – Jim D. (Tracy) Hartman, Jr., Jennifer D. (Joe) Avery,

                       Jeremy D. Hartman, Amanda L. (Aaron) Maxwell,

                       Andrew E. Jordan, Austin W. Jordan, Dylan J. Jordan,

                       Ondria L. Jordan and Caleb D. Jordan

Great-grandchildren – Jacy N. Hartman, Jacob D. Hartman,

                               Jackson L. Hartman, Jordan D. Avery and

                               Savannah L. Avery

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bruce Grubbs officiating.

 

The family requests that memorials be made to The Scholarship Fund at Gladeville Baptist Church, 9000 Stewarts Ferry Pike, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122.

Presley, Dolores Ann, age 73, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died November 16, 2015.

Dee was a member of the Mt. Juliet Senior Citizen Center. She was an artist and loved the outdoors and fly fishing.

 

She is survived by:

Brothers – Don Presley and Gary Presley

Several nieces and nephews

 

Per her wishes, Dee will be cremated and no services are planned.

Schofield, Ronald Dewey, of Mount Juliet, TN, died November 14, 2015. He was 79. He was married for 55 years to Henrietta Yahne Schofield. Ronald was a 1954 graduate of Searles High School in Great Barrington, MA.

 

Ronald worked as a ski instructor at Mont Tremblant in Canada after graduating high school. He served in the Army Reserves in New York City. He spent his entire career working for Higgins Fire Protection, where he ultimately served as Vice President of the New Jersey division. He was a member of the New Jersey chapter of the National Fire Sprinkler Association.

 

An avid camper, Ron and Henrietta traveled the country throughout the years. His favorite pastimes were making and fixing things in his home workshops and golfing with friends. As an assistant scout master for the Boy Scouts in Roseland, NJ, he influenced many young lives.

 

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Gladys Schofield and nephew Ronald Hall. In addition to his wife, Henrietta, he is survived by son Glen Schofield and his wife Barbara of San Ramon, CA and their children Nicole, Kyle and Caitlyn; daughter Wendy Ellmo and her husband Frank of Mount Juliet, TN and their children Eric and Molly; and sister Nancy Hall and her husband Clarence of Woodbridge, VA.

A private memorial service will be held.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local Veteran’s Organization of your choice.
