Maxey, Orba Gene Sr. age 81, of Gallatin, TN, died August 4, 2015. Mr. Maxey was retired as the Owner/Operator of Cullman Maxey RV Sales and Two Rivers Campground. He was a member of Gladdice Missionary Baptist Church, a founding member of TCPC Campground and a member of The Airstream Club of Nashville. He is preceded in death by parents, Willie and Liddie (Sircy) Maxey; former wife, Jo Anne Maxey; sister-in-law, Mildred Agee; brothers-in-law, William “Bunky” Jones, Charles Jones, Tom Jones.

 

He is survived by:

Son – Bud (Ashley) Maxey

Daughter – Dawn (Dana) Hudson

Brother – Garry (Dot) Maxey

Brother-in-law – Bob Agee

Aunt – Maurine Sircy

Grandchildren – Ashley Joye, Brandi (Matt) Scharbach, Lala Maxey, Easton Maxey

Great Grandchildren – Kylar Hudson, Lily Bugg, Jace Mashburn

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2015 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Reverend Chuck Groover.

 

Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

Griffith, Sarah Martha Oakley, age 94, of Nashville, TN, died August 5, 2015. Mrs. Griffith was a member of First Baptist Church of Nashville at 7th and Broad. She was a graduate of Hume Fogg High School and attended Ward Belmont College. Mrs. Griffith was the daughter of the late, Don Robert and Ellen Florelle Reep Oakley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Turner Griffith.

 

She is survived by:

Children – Martha (William) Boeglin of Mt. Juliet, TN and

               Robert (Linda Queen) Griffith of Macon, GA

Grandchildren – Elizabeth Boeglin, Charlotte Boeglin and Gretchen Boeglin

                       all of Mt. Juliet, TN and Aubrey Griffith of Georgia

 

Funeral services will be private. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Morris, Bonnie Lou, age 65, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died August 7, 2015. Bonnie was a charter member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from the State of Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late, Louis Henry and Mary Annell Trammel Morris. Bonnie was also preceded in death by her siblings, Lois Fay Gregory, Janice Sue Morris, Joanne Allen and Thomas S. Morris.

Hurt, Robert Warren, age 87, of Hermitage, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015. He was born on December 27, 1927 in Gallatin, TN to the late, Porter Warren and Lillie Mae Moore Hurt. Mr. Hurt was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Eva Virginia Eakes Hurt.

 

He is survived by:

Children – Eddie (Cindy) Hurt, Sherry (Larry) Faircloth, Terri Sutherland-Fret

               and Shanta Hurt

Siblings – Ben Hurt and Patricia Meador

7 Grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren

 

Mr. Hurt was a member of Corinth Church of Christ. He was employed by the Armed Forces of the United States of America, where he was a Senior Master Sergeant for the Tennessee Air National Guard. Mr. Hurt served his country for 35 years and retired in January, 1985.

 

Graveside services at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens for close family and friends will be private. Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Hollis, Francine Melissa Bequette, age 43, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died August 13, 2015. Francine was employed by Transfirst. She loved “oldies” music and her grandchildren. Francine was the daughter of the late, Gerald Thomas and Velma Lee Thurston Bequette.

Thomas, Virginia Louise Lanier-“Aunt Jenny” age 86, of Old Hickory, TN, died August 16, 2015. Virginia was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.  She was a member of Hickory Hills Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching Vacation Bible School and being an active part of her church family.

 

She is preceded in death by:

Jordan, Dorothy Elizabeth, age 80, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died August 18, 2015.

Mrs. Jordan was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Community and the Ladies of Charity. She was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during Vietnam. Mrs. Jordan was the daughter of the late, George R. and Dorothy Elizabeth Jardel Kelly. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Jordan.

 

She is survived by:

Hansen, James Robert, age 71, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died August 16, 2015. Mr. Hansen was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was the son of the late, George and Margaret Hoag Hansen.

Bearden, Clarice Imogene “Jean”, age 89, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died September 4, 2015. Jean was a member of Cloyd’s Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the American Business Woman’s Association and was an artist in the Old Hickory Art Class.  She was the daughter of the late, Mack Mitchell and Agnes Canter Givens. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Bearden, II Lt. Col. USAFR (Ret.) and 5 brothers and 5 sisters.

She is survived by:
