Cook, Blanche Mabry, age 101, of Mt. Juliet, TN died June 2, 2006. Mrs. Cook has been a member of Gladeville Baptist Church since 1979 and was formerly a member of Baker’s Grove Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Mt. Juliet Senor Citizens Center. Mrs. Cook was the daughter of the late, Robert "Bob" and Cora Clark Mabry. She was married November 6, 1927 to John Eddie Cook who preceded her in death. Mrs. Cook was also preceded in death by an infant son; a grandson, Jeff Mires; 5 brothers, Harvey, Alvie, George, Roy and Paul Mabry and 3 sisters, Pearl Butler, Irene Newman, and Belle Carrell.

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2006 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bruce Grubbs officiating. Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

Stilts, Jeffrey Alan, age 43, of Lebanon, TN died June 6, 2006. Jeff was a 1981 graduate of Castle Heights Military Academy, a volunteer firefighter for Mt. Juliet for several years, and a volunteer at Mt. Juliet Senior Citizen Center. He was secretary/treasurer of Double J Enterprises. Jeff is preceded in death by his mother, Jean Stilts; paternal grandparents, John Horace and Delia Stilts and maternal grandparents, Roy and Gladys Butner.

Hale, Helen Dorothy, age 71, of Hermitage, TN died June 7, 2006. Mrs. Hale was the daughter of the late, Carl and Helen Kircher. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Charlotte L. Kircher.

St. John, Louis Dale "Pomer", age 77, of Woodbury, TN died June 11, 2006. Mr. St. John was a member of Center Chapel Church of Christ in Mt. Juliet, but was recently attending Leoni Church of Christ in Woodbury. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. St. John was the son of the late, Lytle and Ailien Logan St. John. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Adcock St. John; his son, David St. John ; brothers, Kenneth, Paul and Junior St. John and sister, Mable Luke.

Hays, Jackie Carter , age75 of Mt. Juliet, TN passed away June 12, 2006 at his home. Mr. Hays was a member of Green Hill Church of Christ. Jackie was born in Mt. Juliet on October 1, 1930. He married his beloved wife Helen in 1952. He was employed with West Wilson Utility District for 42 ½ years and spent 26 years as General Manager until he retired in December 2001. Mr. Hays was a 20 year member of the Board of Directors at the Tennessee Association of Utility Districts, a member of the American Water Works Association, a lifetime member of the National Rural Water Works Association, a member of the Kentucky/Tennessee American Water Works, a member of the University of Tennessee Foothills Club, was inducted into the T.A.U. D. Wall of Fame, a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Ilene’s Bunch. He was an avid UT football fan for over 30 years. He was the son of the late, Jack and Ellen Carter Hays. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, James Noel and Charles Walker Hays and his nephews, Jack and Noel Hays.
